Adjunct Assistant Professor Kevin Yik is the Head of Division and Consultant for the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma at National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He is also the Consultant for the Division of Shoulder and Elbow surgery, in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Adj Asst Prof Yik graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2008. He completed his postgraduate specialist training in orthopaedic surgery and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018.
Adj Asst Prof Yik underwent fellowship training at the prestigious hospitals of Korea University and Seoul National University for both Orthopaedic Trauma and Shoulder & Elbow Surgery in South Korea. He also received the AO Trauma Fellowship for 2020, and is a faculty member for AO Trauma, the world’s largest global trauma and orthopaedic community.
Aside from clinical work, Adj Asst Prof Yik is actively involved in undergraduate medical education at the National University of Singapore and was appointed as Adjunct Assistant Professor by Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2021. He is well-published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented at both local and overseas conferences.
