    1. National University Spine Institute (NUSI)

      NUHS launches the National University Spine Institute (NUSI) with the 1st NUSI Public Symposium. NUSI provides the full spectrum of care, from pain management to rehabilitation medicine, and the latest in minimally invasive, navigation, robotic spine surgery as well as complex surgical techniques for the treatment of scoliosis, spinal tumours, degenerative spine disorders and spinal trauma.

    1. Inaugural NUHS Caregivers' Day 2024

      NUHS celebrated its inaugural NUHS Caregivers’ Day with over a hundred caregivers and nine of our community partners to honour the courage, compassion and resilience of all caregivers. 

      NUHS also celebrated eight exemplary caregivers, who received the NUHS Caregiver Award. Nominated by our healthcare team across our various institutions, these inspiring individuals were recognised for going above and beyond their role as caregivers, and who continues to inspire us with their dedication and commitment in caring for their loved ones.

    1. NUHS Ranked 9th World's Strongest Academic Medical Centre Brand​ in AMC 250 Report by Brand Finance

      NUHS jumped 25 places to clinch a spot in the coveted top 10 global ranking, as the 9th most reputable Academic Medical Centre (AMC) in the 'Brand Finance AMC 250 2024 Report', that conducted research into the perceptions of AMC brands worldwide.
    2. Best Employee Engagement Initiative (GOLD)

      This category lauds organisations that have profoundly engaged its workforce, conceived and executed remarkable initiatives. 
    3. Brand Finance Global Top 250 Hospitals

      ​Brand Finance Global Top 250 Hospitals ranks the most reputable Academic Medical Centres (AMCs) in the world. The research study into the brand strength of the world's top AMCs, undertaken by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy, incorporates all factors that reflect the development of an AMC brand, the perceptions of key stakeholders, and the benefits that a strong brand brings to the organisation.
    4. Best In-House Learning Academy (Bronze)

      An in-house learning academy today is no longer just a physical learning space, but rather a library of content that organisations provide their employees. Winners in this category must demonstrate their expertise in building a sound infrastructure that enables functional, technical and business learning.

    1. ​NUHS Green Plan Roadmap Dovetails with NParks’ Efforts to Plant One Million Trees in Singapore by 2030

      Tree-Planting
      As part of efforts to support the NUHS Green Plan Roadmap, NUHS planted 20 trees across four NUHS sites – Kent Ridge Campus, JurongHealth Campus, Alexandra Campus and Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic. By 2030, NUHS plan to plant a total of 10,000 trees across our campuses to support NParks’ effort to plant one million trees in Singapore.
    2. ​NUHS Launches Singapore’s Large-scale Nose Cancer Screening Research Study in the Community

      The study, led by institutions under the NUHS, aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) screening to detect early-stage nasopharyngeal cancer and enhance risk prediction. The study, which is currently conducted in Jurong and Pioneer Polyclinics, will be extended to Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Clementi Polyclinics.

    1. ​NUHS Participates in Project RESET, a Nationwide Preventive Heart Health Study

      With the number of heart attacks in Singapore projected to rise nearly three-fold to 1,418 per 100,000 population in 2050, NUHS will be a participating healthcare institution of Project RESET, which is a heart health study that seeks to identify and implement the best ways to tackle heart disease in Singapore. This project is supported by a newly awarded S$25 million grant from the National Research Foundation, Singapore and the Singapore Ministry of Health’s National Medical Research Council. 
    2. ​Inaugural Family-Centred Care Conference 2023

      Themed ‘Advancing Family-Centred Care, Together’, the Inaugural Family-Centred Care Conference 2023 was organised in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House to help health and social care sectors collaborate and integrate better to further strengthen support for families at risk.

    1. NUHS Launches Singapore’s First Supercomputer Dedicated to Healthcare and Medical Research

      NUHS launched Singapore’s first supercomputer dedicated to healthcare and medical research to supercharge the cluster’s AI projects and enable new capabilities such as genomics, digital imaging, robotics and language models.
    2. New NUHS Academy Launched to Provide Upskilling and Reskilling Programmes to Healthcare Staff

      NUHS Academy, established through a tripartite collaboration with the Healthcare Services Employees’ Union (HSEU), NTUC LearningHub and NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute), is the first healthcare academy within a public healthcare cluster to provide training opportunities to all job groups. The Academy consists of four centres – Centre for Medical Excellence, Centre for Nursing Excellence, Centre for Allied Health Excellence and the Centre for Leadership & Workforce Excellence, which will offer a diverse range of career and learning pathways, skills frameworks and capability programmes to facilitate the upskilling of the various healthcare professional job families.
