    1. Distinguished Senior Clinician Award (DSCA) 2025

      Adjunct Associate Professor Chai Ping 
      With over 30 years at NUH, Adj A/Prof Chai currently heads the Department of Cardiology at NUHCS, after serving as Director of Clinical Services for Cardiology from 2009 to 2020. He pioneered NUH and NHG's chronic heart failure management programme in 2003 and established innovative clinics that significantly improved patient care. A committed educator and researcher, he chairs NUHCS' Cardiology Senior Residency Programme Evaluation Committee and has authored over 90 publications.

      His dedication has been recognised with the NUH Incredible Care Service Champion (Gold) Award and NUHS Master Clinician Award in 2024, as well as the Singapore Health Quality Award in 2025.

      Associate Professor Loh Woei Shyang
      Regionally recognised for his expertise in cochlear implantation, airway reconstruction, and complex paediatric cases, A/Prof Loh pioneered sialendoscopy at NUH as a minimally invasive treatment for salivary gland conditions. As Group Chief of Otolaryngology, he integrated ENT services across NUHS in 2019, enabling appropriate right-siting of care across the cluster. He also championed the expansion of clinical services as head of NUH’s ENT Surgery department. A celebrated educator, he chairs the Master of Medicine in Otolaryngology Committee, serves on the Residency Advisory Committee for Otolaryngology, and is a faculty member at the European Salivary Gland Training Centre.

      His excellence has been recognised with the Singapore Quality Health Service Bronze (2024) and STAR (2025) Awards.

    1. Public Sector Transformation Awards 2025

      • Exemplary Innovation Award: Professor Paul Chew, Senior Consultant, Department of Ophthalmology

        Prof Chew pioneered the Paul Glaucoma Implant—a groundbreaking treatment for glaucoma now recognised and used in 50 countries. His innovation provides long-term intraocular pressure control, significantly improving patient outcomes and quality of life, whilst reducing healthcare costs.
      • Exemplary Service Excellence Award: Adjunct Assistant Professor Andrew Hong, Head & Consultant, Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

        Adj Asst Prof Hong has markedly improved patient care by introducing innovative clinical pathways and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration. His dedication to patient-centric care and evidence-based solutions has transformed outcomes in hip fractures, diabetic limb salvage, and foot and ankle injuries.
      • Exemplary Leader Award: Mr Jeremy Lee, Chief Operating Officer

        Jeremy has transformed NUH operations through innovative solutions like Robotic Process Automation, enhancing efficiency and productivity across departments. As Chair of the NUH Sustainability Workgroup, he has also spearheaded over 250 green initiatives, setting new benchmarks in healthcare sustainability.
    2. Nurses Merit Awards 2025

      The Nurses' Merit Award is given out annually by the Ministry of Health to nurses in recognition of their outstanding performance and contribution to the profession. Congratulations to our 2025 winners!
