Biosketch

Dr Alex Soh graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2011. Subsequently, he obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK), Master of Internal Medicine (Singapore), and completed Internal Medicine Residency training in 2014 at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. He then underwent specialist training under the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NUH and obtained his Gastroenterology specialist accreditation from the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore (SAB) in 2017, and joined as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS). Since then, he has further obtained a Masters of Clinical Investigation (MCI) at the National University of Singapore.

Dr Alex Soh now serves as a Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in the National University of Singapore and is currently part of the NUHS Clinican Scientist Program. His clinical and research interests include Gut microbiome, and Functional and motility gastrointestinal diseases such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Functional Dyspepsia, Chronic Diarrhea, Chronic Constipation, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), and Achalasia.

Dr Alex Soh also serves in the executive committees of the Gastroenterology Society of Singapore (GESS), Irritable Bowel Syndrome Support Group (IBS-SG), the Asian Barrett's Consortium (ABC) and Asian Neurogastroenterology and Motility Association (ANMA).
