Biosketch

Dr Arundhati obtained her undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate degree (DGO, DNB) from India and her membership of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG, UK) in 2009. She has been working at NUH since 2010 and is an accredited specialist in India and Singapore. She pursued a fellowship in Fetal medicine at Birmingham Woman's Hospital NHS trust, UK, in 2019 and currently works as Consultant in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. She also works at the Fetal Care Centre to facilitate Prenatal diagnosis, Fetal Medicine and Therapy.

Her main area of interest is in high-risk obstetrics, fetal medicine, sexual & reproductive health and contraception. She is a promoter of natural birth and helps women to have vaginal birth after caesarean section, water birth and facilitates woman-centred care. She counsels couples about prenatal screening and diagnosis, diagnosis and management of fetal anomalies, intrauterine growth restriction, management of monochorionic twins and higher-order multiple pregnancy, Rhesus iso-immunisation, fetal infections and intrauterine fetal therapy.

Having worked as a specialist in various countries including India, Maldives and Oman in the past, she caters to women from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
She is a passionate teacher and is actively involved in medical education. She is a Director of undergraduate medical education and an Assistant Professor in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
