Dr Catherina graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2013. She subsequently embarked on her Ophthalmology training at National University Hospital, and obtained her Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2021. She was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) upon the successful completion of her residency training in 2023. During her residency training, she was in the Resident's sub-committee for the National University Health System in 2019, serving as the Chief Resident from 2021-2022 and also completed The NUHS Residency Leadership Development Programme in 2022.
Dr Catherina is actively involved in the training of undergraduate and postgraduate doctors and is appointed as a clinical tutor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS). She has also published peer-review medical journals, and presented her work at various regional and international conferences.
