Dr YH Chee is currently a Senior Consultant & Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He graduated from the University of Liverpool, UK and spent many years of his surgical training in England and Scotland. He gained entry into the Advanced Specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic training programme at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland between 2005 and 2011 where he was trained under the tutelage of Professor Charles Court-Brown and Professor Margaret McQueen in orthopaedics trauma and gained experience in limb deformity correction, management of complex bony non-union and infection with Professor Hamish Simpson during this period. He later completed a fellowship in complex fracture and post-traumatic deformity correction; bone lengthening; and lower limb reconstruction surgery under the guidance of Dr Selvadurai Nayagam at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
He joined NUH in 2012 and his expertise include foot & ankle sports injuries and fractures, diabetic foot surgery, open fracture management, deformity correction and bone lengthening procedures. He has been the Director of undergraduate medical education in orthopaedics and currently the Associate Programme Director for junior doctors in NUH.
