Prof Paul Chew's specialty is in glaucoma surgery and research. He invented and commercialised the globally available Glaucoma MP3 Therapy Laser.
Prof Chew also heads the glaucoma drainage implant research, which provides enhanced safety and success in the treatment of severe glaucoma disease. These new implants were designed in National University Hospital and are currently in an advanced state of manufacture. Prof Chew is also the inventor of the PGI tube device for glaucoma.
