Biosketch

Dr Derrick Lian completed his basic medical education in the National University of Singapore. Following his housemanship, Dr Lian trained in Histopathology and was accepted as a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK). He then subspecialised in Paediatric Pathology, having trained and worked in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, before joining the National University Hospital.

Dr Lian is also active in the field of medical education, and is involved in both undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching. He has a Masters in Health Professions Education with distinction, and is especially interested in interprofessional education to enhance patient care.
