Dr D S Deepak is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Endocrinology who joined NUH in July 2010.
He qualified from JIPMER, Pondicherry University India and subsequently completed higher specialty postgraduate training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Internal Medicine from Liverpool, UK. He also obtained a degree of MD from the University of Liverpool UK for clinical research in the field of growth hormone deficiency in adults.
His specialty areas of interest include neuro-endocrinology, adrenal & gonadal disorders.
Dr Deepak is additionally involved with managing the Inpatient Diabetes program and is part of the Diabetes Safety Committee in NUH. In 2015, he led a HFMEA initiative to address safe management of inpatients with Diabetes in NUH.
He was the program director for the NUH Endocrinology Senior Residency program since its inception till 2020 and continues to be actively involved with teaching higher postgraduate trainees in Endocrinology as well as undergraduates and allied health staff.
He started the joint pituitary multidisciplinary team meetings with colleagues in ENT and Neurosurgery in 2012 and continues this work as member of the Endoscopic Pituitary and Skull Base Surgery services.
His other roles include clinical director (CD) for division of Endocrinology and associate CD for Department of Medicine NUH.
