Dr Furene Wang is currently a Senior Consultant at the Division of Paediatric Neurology, Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children’s Medical Institute, National University Hospital. She obtained her MBBS degree from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine where she was on the Dean’s list from 2003 to 2008. She attained her postgraduate paediatrics degrees (MMed, Singapore and MRCPCH, UK) in 2011.
Dr Wang is involved in the care and management of patients with neurological disorders. She plays an active role in the Neuromuscular and Neurogenetic multi-disciplinary clinics, which provide care to patients with complex medical needs. She enjoys teaching and participates in the education of undergraduate medical students, postgraduate paediatric residents, dental and nursing staff. She is a member of the NUHkids Fund Committee, which assists children and adolescents who require financial assistance for their medical treatment. She is also a member of the Rainbow Centre Committee.
