Dr Keith Ho graduated from NUS in 2001 with an MBBS and obtained a Master of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) in 2008. After completing his Emergency Medicine specialty training in 2010, he obtained the European Master's degree in Disaster Medicine in 2013. He was an International Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medical Sciences Fellow at the Center for Disaster Medical Sciences, University California Irvine in 2013.
His clinical interest is in Disaster Medicine. He has worked with the Disaster Medical Site Command, Ministry of Health (MOH) since 2009 and was appointed Deputy Commander in 2012. He was the Spectator Medical Chief for F1 Singapore between 2010 to 2012. Dr Ho served as the Chief Hospital Planner & Coordinator, Mass Casualty Incident Operations between 2017 to 2020. Under his leadership, National University Hospital was assessed by MOH to be at a High State of Readiness (SOR 1) during Exercise Kingfisher 2018.
Dr Ho is a faculty member with the National Healthcare Group Institute of Healthcare Quality, and mentors healthcare workers embarking on their quality improvement journey. He is actively involved with the Society of Emergency Medicine Singapore serving in various capacities including organizing chairman of the annual scientific meeting, honorary treasurer, and executive committee member.
He views issues from the systems perspective seeking a win-win solution for all stakeholders.
