Biosketch

Dr Khadijah Binti Abdul Kader is a Consultant with the Department of Neonatology, National University Hospital (NUH) since 1 September 2021. She looks after newborn babies in the postnatal wards, as well as premature and ill babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Dr Khadijah received her medical education from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed her postgraduate specialty training in Paediatrics at the Department of Paediatrics, NUH. She then went on to receive subspecialty training in Neonatology at the Department of Neonatology, NUH. She has had experience working in the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.Dr Khadijah completed her Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), the Singapore Paediatric Society and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Dr Khadijah is the Patient Safety Officer at the Department of Neonatology, NUH. She has special interest in the areas of Clinical Education, use of ultrasound in clinical care and resuscitation of extremely premature babies. She has received Good Teacher awards in 2018, 2020 and 2021 for undergraduate medical education for NUS students. She is also a facilitator for Neonatal Resuscitation Courses conducted at NUS.
