Dr Khoo Chin Meng is the current Head and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
He received his MBBS degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK (MRCP) in 2002, then a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK (FRCP) in 2012, and was awarded Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS, Endocrinology) in 2007. He received his PhD in medicine in 2018.
He is also the current Director for the Investigational Medicine Unit, National University Hospital and Metabolic Phenotyping Unit, National University of Singapore. His research interests are in insulin resistance, obesity and diabetes mellitus. His PhD thesis examined the pathway to insulin resistance in humans.
Besides research, he is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education. He is the chair of OSCE for the undergraduate program in Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
