Dr Lee Yang Yang completed his undergraduate medical education at the National University of Singapore in 2008. He underwent his residency in general surgery at the Singapore General Hospital from 2012 to 2017, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (General Surgery) in 2017.
Inspired by his rotation in paediatric surgery as a surgical trainee, Dr Lee undertook a second residency in paediatric surgery at the National University Hospital from 2017 to 2021, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Paediatric Surgery) in 2022. He is currently one of the few surgeons in Singapore accredited by the Ministry of Health for both adult general surgery and paediatric surgery.
Dr Lee’s subspecialty interest is in paediatric liver transplantation, paediatric liver disease, and minimally invasive surgery. In addition, he is interested in medical device development and obtained his first technical patent in 2010.
