Dr Lim Wei Sian is a head and neck surgeon specialising in the surgical management of head and neck cancers including those of the oral cavity, larynx, thyroid, salivary glands, and skin. He serves as an otolaryngology consultant in the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2011 and attained the Masters of Medicine in Otolaryngology in 2017. He completed his residency training in Singapore, during which he was the top scorer for the Otolaryngology In-Training Examinations in 2018 and 2019. He also received the SOHNSS Academic Excellence Award for being the top scorer in the 2020 otolaryngology exit examinations.
In 2023, he received the Learning Development Award under the Health Manpower Development Plan. He then underwent a 1 year head and neck surgical oncology fellowship at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney. During this time, he was trained in the techniques of ablative and reconstructive head and neck surgery.
Dr Lim participates actively in both education and research. He is involved in the teaching of undergraduate medical students as well as post-graduate ENT residents. He has presented his research work in both local and international conferences and published in international journals.
