Dr Magdalena Koh graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore (NUS) and obtained her MBBS degree in 2013.
She subsequently underwent her Paediatric Residency at the Department of Paediatrics at National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, where she received her Masters of Medicine (Paediatrics) and Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2017. She was awarded the Nestle Silver Medal Award in the Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics in 2017 and achieved her Specialist Accreditation for Paediatric Medicine in 2022. She currently practices as a Consultant at the Child Development Unit (CDU), Department of Paediatrics, Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital.
Her area of work includes providing care for children with developmental, learning and behavioural challenges. She has interest in developmental parenting, autism and the impact of social inequities on children.
Dr Koh is the implementation lead of a preschool based model of care which provides health and developmental services to low-income families (HEADS-UPP), which is supported by Ministry of Health. She has provided leadership to the team and is instrumental in the implementation of the community programme. She believes in educating caregivers on good health habits and equipping them with parenting strategies at an early age to support development.
