Biosketch

Dr Ng Yau Hong specialises in disorders of the knee, as well as general orthopaedics. His special areas of interest are the care, rehabilitation and surgical treatment of injuries and degenerative disorders of knee joint.

Dr Ng Yau Hong completed his medical degree at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009. He underwent his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at National University Hospital from 2013 to 2019.

Dr Ng Yau Hong is actively involved in medical student teaching at NUS. He also has a keen interest in clinical research and authored several scientific research articles.

Some of his research interests are listed below:-

  • Bisphosphonate-related fractures
  • Platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of tendinopathies
  • Complex elbow trauma
  • Epidemiology and natural history of discoid lateral meniscus
