Dr Ngam is a Consultant in Department Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital.
She graduated from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2011. Thereafter she was trained in Diagnostic Radiology at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital, Singapore. She obtained her specialist qualification in Radiology in 2017 and completed her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology in 2019. She then took the challenge for dual accreditation in Nuclear Medicine in 2019 and completed the training in 2021.
She has special interest in neurodegeneration imaging and initiated the new Amyloid brain PET imaging in NUH in October 2023. She works closely with the Dementia specialists in both clinical and research fields. She is also involved in setting up the workflow for the recently approved anti-Amyloid therapy for Alzheimer's disease.
In addition, she is interested in oncologic theranostics and works closely with the haematologists and oncologists for holistic patients' care. She is actively involved in nuclear medicine therapies such as Iodine-131 therapy, Lutethium-177 PSMA therapy and Radium-223 therapy. She also helps in various in-house and international trials/research.
She is involved in undergraduate education and helps with the National University of Singapore (NUS) system blocks planning.
