Dr Teng Gim Gee is Head and Senior Consultant rheumatologist at Division of Rheumatology, Alexandra Hospital, National University Health System, Singapore. She is the Head of Chronic Programme, Alexandra Hospital. She is an assistant professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Dr Teng graduated from the School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 1997 and completed her Internal medicine residency at the Austin Medical Education Programs in Austin, Texas where she served as the chief medical resident. She pursued her Rheumatology fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham, United States. Dr Teng is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal medicine and Rheumatology (2006). She did her Masters of Clinical Investigation at National University of Singapore in 2012. Dr Teng is highly committed to postgraduate medical education, and was the Program Director for the NUHS Rheumatology Senior Residency from 2012 to 2018 and received various teaching awards including the NUHS Teaching Excellence Award 2023. She was the rheumatology division head for National University Hospital (2019 -2022). Dr Teng is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and a member of the Residency Advisory Committee. Her research interests include epidemiology and health services delivery of gout and systemic sclerosis. She is member of the Gout Expert Group (2019, 2023) for the Agency of Care Effectiveness clinical guidance on gout.
