Dr Thong Wen Yi graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003. She received postgraduate paediatric training at the National University Hospital and subsequently attained higher academic qualifications in the Master of Medicine in Paediatrics from the National University of Singapore and membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2009. She is now a qualified paediatrician, having completed her advanced specialist training in May 2012. She completed her fellowship in Paediatric Critical Care at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, United Kingdom in 2015.
Her interests in the field of Paediatric Critical Care include neuro-critical care, sepsis and newer ventilation strategies. She is also the Head of the Paediatric Home Care Programme @NUHkids, a programme which provides medical home visits for home bound children with complex medical needs. She has an interest in medical education and is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Paediatrics, National University of Singapore, actively involved in clinical teaching programmes for medical undergraduates and paediatric postgraduate students.
