Biosketch

Dr Wang is a urological surgeon. Her main areas of practice are urology diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery and cancer survivorship. 
 
Dr Wang obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2012 and gained fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2014. She completed her Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2017 and received Specialist accreditation for Urology in 2020. She was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold medal as the best performing surgical trainee in the national Urology Specialist Exit Examination in 2020.

During her residency, Dr Wang served as Chief Resident in 2019. She was selected to be part of the Singapore Chief Residency Programme in 2018, which recognises the most prominent young clinicians in the country.

Upon successful completion of her urology training, she was appointed as Uro-oncology Surgical Fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London from 2022 to 2024. The Royal Marsden is Europe’s largest comprehensive cancer centre. It is rated as one of the top three cancer centres in the world. It delivers exceptional care, specialising in cancer diagnosis, treatment, research, and education. At The Royal Marsden, Dr Wang trained in complex open, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries including radical nephrectomy, cystectomy, prostatectomy and pelvic exenteration. 

Dr Wang's clinical and research interests are in cancer survivorship. She has won several grants for her research work, including the NUHS Junior Pitch for fund in 2014, ExxonMobil-NUS Research Fellowship for Clinicians in 2016 and National University Seed Grant in 2020. For her work, she was awarded the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award in 2019. 

Dr Wang is also a dedicated teacher who is involved in undergraduate, postgraduate and interprofessional education. She is an adjunct senior lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
