Dr Yau Ying Wei is a specialist in Emergency Medicine. She also holds an Assistant Professor appointment at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
She graduated with MBBS from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009, obtained Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2013 and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at the National University Health System (NUHS) in Singapore in 2016. She was awarded the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2019 for her dedication towards undergraduate medical education.
As a curious researcher, she has been involved in research projects and co-authored several publications in varied areas such as stroke, infection and sepsis, critical care and medical education. As part of her personal growth as a clinical researcher, she was also awarded NUHS Seed Fund in 2018 and further obtained the Master of Clinical Investigation (MCI) from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2020.
She is passionate to improve the healthcare system efficiency and ensuring sustainability while maintaining patient and staff safety. She is continually looking out for meaningful collaborations and research, particularly in areas to improve healthcare resource utilisation and efficiency, patient outcomes and staff well-being.
