Dr Yvonne Lim graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2006. She subsequently obtained her specialist accreditation in Paediatrics in 2014. Her clinical practice includes taking care of children with growth and pubertal issues as well as hormonal disorders including thyroid diseases, diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus and hypopituitarism.
She has special interests in obesity and childhood diabetes mellitus. She works closely with her team of allied health professionals who are passionate about helping children and adolescents with obesity and diabetes mellitus. Dr Lim has organised holiday weight management programmes for obese children and day camps and motivational workshops for diabetic children. She also spearheads the monthly multidisciplinary weight management clinic.
She aspires to contribute back to science through research. She is part of the team of scientists in SynCTI (Synthetic Biology for Clinical & Technological Innovation). She is currently pursuing her Master of Clinical Investigation.
Dr Lim is an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and is part of the Faculty (Paediatrics) team of the NUHS Residency Programme. She enjoys teaching and inspiring medical students, residents and nurses. As a mother of three, she also enjoys exchanging parenting tips with parents.
