Biosketch

Dr Yvonne Ng graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and completed her paediatric and neonatal specialist training at the National University Hospital, Singapore. She believes strongly in family-centred care which emphasises close communication and cooperation between the family and health care team for improved patient outcome. She is the department's clinical director and a CPIP (Clinical Practice Improvement Programme) facilitator at the National Healthcare Group Singapore. Additionally, Dr Ng is also a strong advocate of breastfeeding; she is the chairperson of the hospital’s Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) Steering Committee, a lactation consultant (IBCLC) since 2008 and currently 1st Vice-President of the Association of Breastfeeding Advocacy Singapore.

Dr Ng is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, with an active interest in teaching and learning.
