Dr Celeste Yong graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore (NUS) with MBBS in 2017. During her undergraduate years, she was a two-time recipient of the Dean's List. Dr Yong completed her Paediatric Medicine Residency training at the National University Hospital, where she attained her Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2021. She achieved her Specialist Accreditation in Paediatric Medicine in 2024.
During her training in NUH, Dr Yong served as the Chief Resident of the Department of Paediatrics from 2021 to 2022. She represented her department in the Residency Leadership Development Programme (RLDP) organised by the National University Health System in 2022, as well as the Singapore Chief Residency Programme (SCRP) conducted by the Healthcare Leadership College in 2023. Dr Yong is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She had served as the Paediatric postgraduate Year 1 Assistant Education Supervisor in 2020. As a passionate educator, she received multiple annual department teaching awards.
Dr Yong is currently an Associate Consultant with the Children’s Emergency, Department of Paediatrics, Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute. Her clinical interests include acute emergency and community paediatric care. Dr Yong believes in good communication, advocating best practices and providing practical advice to fellow parents.
