Dr Jonathan Tang is a Specialist Emergency Physician and Clinical Toxicologist who completed his residency training in NUHS in 2019. He was awarded the book prize as the best candidate in the MMed (EM) examination in 2017. He obtained a graduate diploma in Geriatric Medicine from the Division of Graduate Medical Studies, NUS Medicine in 2018.
In 2022, he was awarded the MOH Healthcare Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) award to train in Clinical Toxicology. He completed his fellowship at the Victorian Poisons Information Centre (VPIC) at Austin Health, Melbourne in 2023. He is currently the deputy patient safety officer in the NUH EMD Safety and Quality workgroup and serves as a member of the Geriatric EM workgroup and Kent Ridge 2030 redevelopment subcommittee overseeing the planning of the future hospital campus.
Dr Tang is passionate about interdisciplinary education and is actively involved in teaching fellow healthcare professionals from nursing and pharmacy. He organises regular rounds with the Advanced Internal Medicine (AIM) department to foster collaborative learning. He endeavours to promote patient safety and a just culture within the department.
