Dr Yuen Wing Yan graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore (NUS) with MBBS (Honours) in 2017. During her undergraduate days, she was awarded the Dean's List from 2013 to 2017 and the Academy of Medicine Silver Medal (2012/2013). She commenced her Paediatric Residency training in the Department of Paediatrics, National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore in 2017, where she attained her Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2021. She achieved her Specialist Accreditation for Paediatric Medicine in 2024.
She currently practises as an Associate Consultant in the Child Development Unit (CDU), Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital and National University Centre for Women and Children (NUWoC) Children's Clinic, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH). Her clinical interests include General Ambulatory Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine as well as Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics.
Dr Wing Yan is also active in community work, having participated as a volunteer doctor for the NHS Kids Health Screening from 2023 to 2024, which is a local community health screening project which aims to identify children and families in need of medical, social and educational intervention. She also contributed to the training curriculum for the KidSTART community nurses from NUH. She believes in ensuring the health and well-being of children beyond the clinical setting, and is an advocate for policies that improve child health outcomes.
