What is a Fibroadema

​A fibroadenoma is a solid, noncancerous tumour that is common among women in their 20s and 30s. It is a firm, smooth, rubbery, or hard lump with a well-defined shape that moves easily within the breast. It is generally painless and usually found as single lump.

​Causes of the condition

The development of Fibroadenoma may be due to reproductive hormones.

Tests and diagnosis

  • Clinical breast exam
  • Mammography
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Fine needle aspirations
  • Core needle biopsy
Treatment
  • A biopsy is performed to confirm the diagnosis. The lump does not need to be removed.
