What is circumcision?

Circumcision is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the foreskin, a flap of skin covering the end of the penis.

Services for Circumcision

Before the procedure

Men undergo circumcision in cases of tight foreskin (phimosis), recurrent infections (balanitis), or for social/religious reasons.

During the procedure

Circumcision is carried out as a day surgery procedure, either under General Anaesthesia or Local Anaesthesia.

The operation usually lasts around half an hour, and the effects of the local anaesthesic injected can wear off after six to eight hours.
After the procedure
Patients will be prescribed painkiller, and topical medication for wound care. The doctor will provide guidance on wound care. The sutures used are dissolvable and do not require removal.
