Our 23-bed psychiatric ward is designed to create a safe and pleasant therapeutic milieu for our patients. Equipped with modern audio-visual facilities, our special teaching rooms enhance the educational experience for undergraduate medical students assigned to the department. The ward admits patients in crisis and those experiencing with psychiatric emergencies.
Specifically designed with a ward milieu, our goal is aid in the recovery of patients with mental disorders. To actively rehabilitate our patients, we provide facilities such as a multi-sensory room and kitchen to help them regain their activities of daily living. Regular activities and meetings led by our health professionals contribute to expediting the recovery process.
Within our premises, a range of treatment is available, including pharmacotherapy, psychological therapy and electroconvulsive therapy. Each treatment is holistically tailored to meet the individual needs of every patient.
Patients with co-morbid medical and psychiatric conditions benefit from the joint management by our medical and surgical specialists. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises occupational therapists, medical social workers, case managers and psychologists. These professional may work with external counsellors in the community. Additionally, we offer a consultation liaison and an outpatient service.
